Responsibilities
A military facility is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Fort Carson, Colorado The EMR system is MHS GENESIS. Credentialing requirements typically take 30 to 60 days. The position involves diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries of the genitourinary and reproductive systems, as well as managing a full range of obstetrical and gynecological cases. Responsibilities include placing IUDs, handling both routine and complicated antenatal patients, performing vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, conducting routine pelvic exams, and evaluating abnormal pap smears through colposcopy. Additionally, the role involves performing routine GYN surgeries, such as abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, and operative laparoscopic treatments, as well as office procedures like endometrial biopsies and routine OB ultrasounds.
