Position is located at 415 W Emma Ave, Springdale, AR 72764. However, incumbent will be required to travel between Springdale branches in order to meet business needs.
Hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the assigned manager, the Business Banker 1 develops relationships leading to new business and works with strategic partners to fully develop current customers. The incumbent is responsible for the management of basic small business relationships. Proficient knowledge of the Bank’s business banking products is required. Originating small business loans will include collaboration with our Small Business Underwriting (SBU) department for the underwriting of small business loans and/or developing the skills to underwrite loans outside the scope of SBU.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Actively manage basic small business relationships utilizing the CFB4 (or small business equivalent) sales principles to develop a fully banked account relationship.
- Develop relationships within the community leading to new business opportunities for the Bank.
- Work internally with strategic business partners (e.g. Arvest Business Engagement (ABE), Treasury Management, Credit Card, Wealth Management, etc.) and branch associates to fully develop the Small Business Customer/Prospect relationship.
- Facilitate small business loans through Small Business Underwriting (SBU) per policy guidelines.
- Develop the skills needed to originate small business loans that are not processed by SBU (i.e. obtaining necessary application documentation, credit analysis, and decisioning).
- Maintain quality portfolio as outlined in bank loan policy and/or as directed by the Loan Manger.
- Be readily available to assist with internal and external questions and issues regarding small business banking products and services.
- Use ClientLink to manage and track client relationships, schedule contacts, follow-up and input sales opportunities for pipeline, production, etc.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Arvest business banking products and services including deposit accounts, loans, Treasury Management products, credit cards, merchant services, SBA loans, etc.
- Attend internal and externalmeetings and training, as required.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associates’ degree in related field or equivalent military or work experience required. Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
- 3 years of sales, banking, credit analysis and/or lending experience required.
- General understanding of building full banking relationships required.
- Completion of CFB4 (or small business equivalent) required within 12 months.
- Completion of American Bankers Association Small Business Banker Certificate required within 12 months.
- General understanding of bank lending principles required.
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent preferred.
